Did you know that the QWERTY keyboard is actually designed to be deliberately inefficient?
The keys which are commonly used together in words are designed such that they are as far apart from each other as possible, so that the metal bits of the typewriters used at that time wouldn’t jam due to adjecent keys being pressed together at the same time. And yet even with inventions of more ‘efficient’ keyboard design like the Dvorak, people are happily resistant to change cause they are so ‘used to it’.
